William Hablitzel deeply shares his journey of becoming a better person and doctor because of his encounter with his faith filled patients. Candid entries of these meetings and detailed recall of what was discussed gave me a chance to feel that I was right in the room when these events were happening.

I enjoyed every chapter of this book and like the way characters met in a previous chapter would again be discussed as an influence that was still present in the author's view of life. Very touching, heart-warming, real stories. Hablitzel combines the art of medicine and prose in a beautifully simple, philosophical manner that reveals his genius and personal, caring touch. I have since purchased several copies to have my own for re-reading and to share with friends. It is a great inspiration to live life in the here and now. One of the best books I've ever read, really puts life into perspective and offers you a new outlook on life. This is possibly the worst book I've ever wasted time and money on.
